Looking for a place to donate your child’s gently used clothing? Please consider bringing the items to school to give to the Beaverton Clothes Closet. The Clothes Closet, which is located at the school district administrative offices, provides an important service to the students in the Beaverton district in need of assistance by allowing them to “shop” for clothing essentials two times per year that have been donated or purchased by donors.
Donating is easy! Simply bring your bagged, gently worn school-age (K – 12) clothes to Raleigh Park and place them inside the Clothes Closet container right inside the school entrance at any time throughout the school year. Clothes should be laundered, free of stains and appropriate for wearing to school. Please note that the Clothes Closet can only accept NEW socks and underwear.
For those interested in being more involved in the Clothes Closet, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, we are in need of volunteers to help staff the Clothes Closet location for two-hour shifts from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. To work a shift or get more information – contact Kristine Morescalchi at firstname.lastname@example.org or Amy Prewett at email@example.com.
