If you are looking for a place to donate your child’s gentle used clothing, or have a child enrolled in school who needs assistance with buying clothes, look no further than the Beaverton Clothes Closet.

What is the Beaverton Clothes Closet?

The Beaverton Clothes Closet, which is located at the Beaverton School District administrative offices, provides an important service to the students (grades K-12) in the Beaverton district in need of assistance by allowing them to “shop” for clothing essentials two times per year that have been donated or purchased by donors.

How do I donate to the Beaverton Clothes Closet?

Donating is easy! Simply bring your bagged, gently worn school-age clothes to Raleigh Park and place them inside the Clothes Closet container right inside the school entrance at any time throughout the school year. Clothes should be laundered, free of stains and appropriate for wearing to school. Please note that the Clothes Closet can only accept NEW socks and underwear.

The Raleigh Park Beaverton Clothes Closet Committee Chairs will be sure that your donations are delivered to the district office.

What else can I do to help the Beaverton Clothes Closet?

Volunteers are critical to the operation of the Beaverton Clothes Closet. Each year, Raleigh Park spends a day helping staff the Clothes Closet with parent volunteers. The day rotates each year, so watch for news of when we’ll be in need of volunteers for the current year.

You are also welcome to volunteer on your own by contacting Johanna Shrout, District Volunteer Services at 503-591-4443.

What if I think my child may be eligible to shop at the Beaverton Clothes Closet?

Students can visit the Clothes Closet two times per school year. An Admit Slip is required. Admit slips are available from the school office. For more information, contact Johanna Schrout, District Volunteer Services at 503-591-4443. You can also learn more online.

Who do I contact at Raleigh Park for more information?

The current Beaverton Clothes Closet chair is Johanna Kennelly Ullman (markoandjohanna@gmail.com).
