Accessing Food Support and Assistance

We know that these uncertain times may be leading to stress about food and other resources.

Luckily we have a fantastic PTO that is generously organizing food donations and support. We will also be receiving additional support from the district to create our own temporary food pantry at Raleigh Park.

Hours of operation of our Raleigh Park food pantry will be 7:15am to 3:15pm on school days. In order to help us streamline this outreach, please contact Ana Teeter or Tricia Howery if you need food or other assistance. Thank you for helping us to get the resources to everyone we can in the most efficient way.

As a reminder, every student also has access to a free, nutritious breakfast and lunch each school day.

We want to share additional community resources that may help:

Community-Based Food Pantries

The Oregon Food Bank (OFB) and Urban Gleaners (UG) operate several weekly or bi-weekly food pantries at our school sites. These pantries are open to everyone; families don’t need to attend that particular school to receive assistance. Pantries are located outside the schools on designated days. In addition, Aloha High School and Community School at Merlo Station Campus have pantries inside the schools, available to students only. For a list of our school-based pantries, see the calendar attached to this ParentSquare message or visit our district website. For food pantries outside our schools, check OFB’s Food Finder.

Beaverton Resource Center

The Beaverton Resource Center (BRC) now manages the Care to Share Food Pantry Network, which includes eight church-based pantries throughout Beaverton. BRC also provides utility and rent assistance, as well as health and wellness services, to help offset food costs. Phone: 503-591-9025 (Please note, phone lines are open Monday through Friday, from 9am - 1pm).

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army has opened its new Washington County HOPE Center, featuring a food pantry designed to serve up to 1,200 families per month. Address: 1440 SE 21st Ave, Hillsboro; phone: 503-640-4311
