Classroom Updates
Choir Concert
The whole school joined together for a joyful winter sing-along that began with an uplifting performance by our choir. Their spirited songs set a warm, festive tone and had students, staff, and families tapping along and singing together.
3rd–5th Grade Virtual Author Visit
Thanks to Mrs. Messenger, students in grades 3–5 enjoyed a special virtual visit with author Jeff Kinney. Despite a few technical hiccups from the publisher, the author’s lively Q&A kept students engaged and excited about writing and reading.
4th and 5th Grade Field Trips in December
Thanks to PTO support, fifth graders experienced BizTown, a hands-on program that builds financial and civic understanding.
After classroom lessons, students stepped into a simulated city where they ran businesses, managed organizations, and explored career opportunities—bringing classroom learning to life.
Fourth graders had a memorable trip releasing salmon, part of their yearlong study of the species.
The class followed the salmon’s journey from egg to alevin (hatchling) to fry, and the release gave students a real-world connection to science, conservation, and the life cycle they’d been studying.
A big thank-you to the PTO, teachers, and volunteers whose support made these enriching experiences possible for our students.
